About Us One of are old trainers Sarah Came up with the idea whilst on the committe of a local community group. Listening to parents from the village comment on how there was nothing to do for children in our area and that the ameneties available were too expensive. So one Sunday night while she were watching a DVD movie "BRING IT ON" She turned to husband Darren, and shouted "That's What I Want To Do!" And so after many meetings with funders, and hours of hair pulling grant application forms, on the 12th January 2006, The Woodlands Rockettes was born. We are a Non-Profit Community Group run by Volunteers to provide for our members: A sense of Well-Being, Community Spirit, Baton Twirling, Dance Skills and Relationship building between Team Members. Sponsored by a local businessman, who is also are vice chairman! With all these prospects in place, we hope the Rockettes will be enjoyful and entertaining. With the revenue collected mainly from our Members Subs and the Snack Bar we run during training sessions, we have up to press become self sufficient.
The Woodlands Rockettes have the following legalities listed below. All Committee Members are C.R.B. Checked. At Least Two First Aiders On-Site A Child Protection Policy Is In Place Food Hygene Certificates PPL Licenced Public Liability Insurance Up To £5 Million Rest assured, we have our members safety and security at heart.
